The Oregon Cultural Trust is an innovative funding mechanism meant to strengthen every aspect of Oregon's culture through a permanent endowment that will grow to more than $200 million. Since its creation, over 4,600 Oregonians have contributed to the Trust enabling them to add over $2 million to the endowment and award over $2 million in grants statewide. The Trust invests in:+ Annual grants to county and tribal planning groups for cultural activities and priorities, helping them develop programs that increase access to culture.
+ Grants to expand and stabilized cultural organizations throughout the state.
+ Funding for cultural agencies to strengthen programs and encourage new partnerships. The partner agencies are the Oregon Arts Commission, the Oregon Council for the Humanities, the Oregon Heritage Commission, the Oregon Historical Society, and the State Historic Preservation Office.
